Fetch: A Novel by C. Pribyl - The Blurb

writing a novel has been my life’s goal since i was little. and i’m happy to share - it’s finally time.

introducing the plot blurb for my in-progress novel, Fetch.

1873. Annebeth, Irish-born but American grown, is called back to her first home and birthplace, the Irish mountain estate and property known as the Demesne, for the funeral of her late grandfather, Michael Foully. The death of her grandfather marks the transition of the family wealth, but in this family, each descendent has the chance to put their name forward in a unique petitioning process. From living in New York for the majority of her life to her mother passing decades earlier, Annebeth has little want or claim for the inheritance. Instead, its the life she would have known and the belonging she would have had that brings her crawling back to Ireland.

But when the broken family reunites, secrets long hidden are revealed; and the fight for the Demesne becomes anyone’s game. What’s worse is that people are mysteriously turning up dead, each marked by the appearance of a strange omen, merely a day or hours before their untimely demise. Could it all be the scheming of a greedy relative or could there be something much more supernatural afoot.

A tale of investigating grief, acceptance, and family, Fetch pulls from Irish history and folklore to craft a spooktacular and suspenseful mystery that will leave readers gripped in Annebeth’s story until the final page.
